“If a Doula was a drug, it would be unethical not to use it”.- Dr. John H. Kennell

Meet Teresa Jennings

she is the compassionate and incomparable founder of Doulas For Life, LLC. With more than 13 years of experience in the healthcare field providing professional support services to families in homes, hospitals, and facilities, Teresa has become well known for her gentle and caring approach to support.

As a teenager, Teresa recalls watching the show, “A Baby Story” and feeling drawn to the remarkable experiences created during pregnancy and childbirth. Her powerful and passionate strengths lie in educating expectant parents on their rights to “inquire” as she encourages them to find their “voice” and make it be heard. Teresa has witnessed firsthand just how transformative the birth experience can be to a parent, and the impactful role their emotions have on it.

She started her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of South Florida, as well as a Red Cross Certified Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) instructor, Teresa found her true calling as a professional doula.

Her primary role as a Birth and Postpartum Doula is the provision of physical, informational and emotional support; in addition, to instilling self-advocacy toward a journey into parenthood. Her work principles include the intention to ensure an unforgettable newborn experience.

Teresa and her wonderfully supportive Partner and three awesome sons (one of which was welcomed through a beautiful Midwife supported VBAC at home) reside in Pasco County.
